Hi & Welcome!

I’m Rosalia Rivera, a consent educator and child sexual abuse prevention specialist, child rights advocate, speaker, and rape culture disruptor.

I help parents learn HOW-TO empower their kids, educate adults + dramatically reduce risks for sexual abuse.

I’m also a CSA survivor, thriver, and parent of three.

After years of struggling with anxiety and triggers related to my own abuse, I discovered how difficult it was to learn about abuse prevention when it was time to educate my own kids.

Determined to break the intergenerational cycle of abuse in my family, I dedicated myself to her healing so I could overcome the barriers that kept coming up when learning about abuse prevention. Now, I help busy parents go from fearful and anxious to confident and empowered when it comes to teaching their kids about body safety, boundaries, and consent- preventing sexual abuse before it happens.

That is when I founded CONSENTparenting™ and launched my AboutCONSENT™ podcast, dedicated to survivors and those who support them, featuring interviews with experts in mental wellness, trauma, and survivors/thrivers.

I’m also a co-founder of the Brave Movement, an advocacy movement to end childhood sexual violence globally.

I’m certified in the Canadian Centre for Child Protection® COMMIT TO KIDS® Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training Program. I’m also an Authorized Facilitator of the Stewards Of Children® Training by Darkness to Light®.

I’m also a Certified Practitioner of the Conscious Parenting Coaching Method® from Dr. Shefali Tsabary’s CPCM Institute.

In 2023, I was named a Verywell Mind 25 Mental Health Champion Honoree.

Through brave, open, and empowering conversations, I guide and support legions of parents in taking courageous action to shift culture and create safer homes, schools, and communities.

In 2021 and 2022, I spoke at TEDxOneonta on the topics of dismantling rape culture (2021) and creating consent culture (2022).

Why subscribe?

Teaching your child about body safety shouldn’t feel overwhelming or isolating, and with the right support, it doesn’t have to be.

Every week, I publish in-depth blog posts (with voice readings if you don’t have time to sit and read, you can listen on the go!) and host live Q&As designed to help you confidently teach your child about private parts safety, grooming, secrets, exit strategies, and so much more.

Paid subscribers also get bonus workshops, masterclasses and annual members get access to special body safety courses.

But I don’t stop at the basics.

I address the real questions and concerns that come up when you start this education with your child, like what to say when they ask why someone would want to touch their private parts, or how to handle the tricky feelings that surface as you navigate these topics.

Beyond teaching your child, I equip you with the skills and language to have those hard conversations with the adults in your child’s life. Whether it’s asking your child’s teacher about their safety policies, addressing a family member who thinks you’re overreacting, or coordinating with a co-parent, I help you raise awareness and advocate for your child with confidence.

I also keep you informed about the latest trends and news impacting child safety, from online risks to what’s happening in schools, daycares, and beyond.

This isn’t just information, it’s a transformation.

You’ll develop the confidence to protect your child, the skills to have conversations that once felt impossible, and the reassurance that comes from expert, compassionate support every step of the way. Hard conversations, made easy.

Are you a survivor of CSA and now a parent or educator?

I’m a CSA survivor who spent years struggling with anxiety around my own abuse, and when it came time to protect my own three kids, I realized how hard it was to find straightforward, practical guidance on prevention. I was determined to break the cycle in my family, so I dove deep into my own healing and trained extensively in abuse prevention so I could show up confidently for my children. Now, I help other parents do the same.

Through CONSENTparenting™, my AboutCONSENT™ podcast, and my workshops, I’ve worked with thousands of parents who feel stuck between wanting to protect their kids and feeling too anxious or triggered to know where to start. Whether you’re a survivor yourself or just a parent who wants to get this right, I’ll help you move from fear and uncertainty to confidence and clarity with a real plan you can actually use.

I help parents navigate one of the hardest conversations they’ll ever have with their kids and the adults in their lives: teaching them about body safety, boundaries, and consent, especially when the topic feels triggering or overwhelming.

You’re not alone, and you weren’t meant to do this on your own. Welcome to my Substack- let’s connect!
